Due for an op.
Been having a slew of health related problems lately. First, the nose bleed which gave me a shock at work, had to take a day's MC.
But before I get to the main issue .. had lunch with Jaslin yesterday at the Korean stall at Chevron House. Then on my way home after work, met up (very impromptu) with Jerry, Adrian and his siter Fiona, Tim, Jaslin and ah ma for dinner. Initial plan was to go to TCC @ Orchard, ended up at Moku Moku, a Japanese style eatery at Far East Plaza. Will post the pics when I get them.
Today afternoon 1.30pm, went to Gleneagles Hospital with my mum to see Dr Christopher Chen for an appointment. After the nurse asked me a few qns about my medical history, we waited for a few mins before being admitted in. To cut things short .. after the scan (which hurt) he told me that I had slight thickening of my uterus, I had blood clots in my womb (which was just like what Ying Chuan told me) and my left ovary was in an "abnormal position". The medical term for my condition is called Endometrosis (for more info click here). The symptoms are much like what my mum had, except her was more serious so her womb had to be removed. But, Dr Chen says this kind of condition is not hereditary, which is a small consolation.
So basically, to "clean up" these clots, I would have to go for day surgery, where 2 keyholes would be made. The cost is like .. including the doctor and hospital side, about 10k plus o_0 Booked a half day ward for 3rd July, so I have the rest of the weekend to rest. I'm SO not anticipating myself being on the operating table .. but what can I do? Better to get this resolved faster than wait, delay .. and lead to more complications.
So peeps, not just ladies, do take care of your health ya?

Wow.
That's somewhat terrible news, I hope you recover quickly my dear friend.
And it's allright if you get nervous about the operation, increased heartbeat means the anaesthetic will work faster. :)
I wish you well.
