CW yesterday was uber fun! Joined Legends when they invited me. DF and gang tried to take rio, but phailed, lols. Still looking for a job, still no luck, ah well, if it comes to staying at home throughout this one month .. whee~ But with recent big ticket purchases, my bank account's dwindling =x
Anyhow, last Saturday I went to Tangs to exchange an Elle bag I'd bought for $89. Ended up choosing three bags from MEL, and got myself a watch from Denni as well:
My bags, and the little bag with my watch below:
And now, manga. I'm reading 100% Perfect Girl at the moment, waiting for D.Gray-man/Midnight Secretary/Hanatsuki Hime. I wish they'd get the manga/anime uploaded and scanslated faster, so I wouldn't have to wait.
That's about all, prolly won't be updating so soon.
P.S: Saph, Seth, you guys rock! Nice to see you haven't forgotten me, haha. Holler on msn if yall need me ^^

August 16, 2008
Let's trash this out .. since it had to come to this.
A few FACTS. As known to those who went for the meeting yesterday. Want to twist my words and say, " oh you're trying to pin us down", to which I refer you to this thread here
My reply is same as that on sGe forums, except I have more to add on my own blog.
1) HR had a meeting yesterday, among SG members.
2) Split tables before the meal already. Each to his/her own camp.
3) Hard enough to talk/hear in a public area, much less make self heard. But moja was trying his best, and what did some of you guys on the other end do? Talk, laugh, have your own convo. Already overriding respect and authority.
4) The challenge was from DF. "If IXL in the fac, then I will leave" I asked you was that an ultimatum, you said no. Then what was it other than a clear statement what you're gonna do?
Now, I'll address my thoughts on DF, and your gang.
1) Won't go into detail about what was mentioned during the meeting, but really, DF, you think you did a much better job when you were RL? I never saw any SS about what were the loot, who got the loot, sqd members. Only when asked, then you posted 3 images on Griffon and said, those 3 pictures is more than a thousand words, or something to that effect. So 3 images can cancel out the OTHER images not posted? An excuse to keep quiet aka divert attention from other issues to pacify those people who've been asking for what's theirs? Wow, talk about multitasking.
2) The reason why I raised the issue about your other pilot (the one who doesn't go to outings) is because even if step down as DL, I think its pretty serious if someone as guailan (from what I heard) as your pilot is piloting your account. Your account that as a player was important to HR, as council member as DL as someone who had authority (and we never thought you would abuse it either til you kept quiet on so many raids). Until you showed your true colours yesterday night.
3) Secret meeting after that. Not surprising, since you also had a secret meeting a few days ago prior to yesterday's meeting and got all the RL to step down. Great job! How influential! For someone who said "I will not pull anyone from HR" you have already stepped on your own foot when some followed you. Are more to follow? Think I can guess who will go with my 2 eyes closed.
4) To ah ma. You guys want to show you guys can make it on your own, go ahead. Since you're aflush with GOL loot, orbs and funds, you can do what you like, and nothing much we can do about it.
5) "secure a position in Legends?" In all the factions I've been in, I have yet to contribute anything before I join. Never for DefendeRz, nor ReBeLaTion nor Crusaders nor HR. And that's not about to change. GOL tactics as a bribe? Puh-lease. You think people don't go because they don't know how it works? ZZ. Ask Einwind why he doesn't drop ELN anymore, then.
Bah. Bandying words was never my strong suit, even if I'm blunt about my words.
Below is a slideshow that I created from the 40+ SS from a convo with DF and STW ytd morning. Being awake til 5am is no joke! After meeting was already tired from all the testosterone flying around. But this will save me from repeating things I'm sick of hearing again.

Of books, movies and .. a haircut heh
Its been 3 weeks since my op, and after endless medication and rest (here and there), I think I'm recovering quite fine. Last week was quite an eventful one for me. On Saturday, after visiting Dr. Chen, I went to Borders and bought a copy of Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child's Book of The Dead at $17.95, after trying to get the ebook to no avail (and being put on the local library's waiting list for months. Yeah, months.) Not even Benny nor Rildiz could find any proper ebook of that, only audio books. I was thrilled to find the only copy on the shelf (Borders should have an alphabetical index for their books!) and promptly completed my first reading late into the night.
Also, I pre-ordered Stephanie Meyer's Breaking Dawn, which I will collect tomorrow after work; supposedly I'll get 25% discount off the retail price if I pre-order. I can't wait! Below is the convo I had with Elodin, my old friend from EL over in the U.S:
His font is a wee bit small, sorry if you have to squint to read, basically he says Kim (his gf) is reading BD already .. and I am so awfully jealous! Dang. But no matter, tomorrow night I will be one happy fan :D
Fast forward to this week - I've been trying to get the mp3 for this particular D.Gray-man theme from Episode 93 entitled "The 14th's Song/Musician by Yumi Moitora". So far, fans are going gaga over this particular piano piece (because ITS AWESOME and it really is) and like them, I've managed to source out the MIDI files, Benny helped me with the music sheets (I haven't gotten around to tinkering on the piano yet but I will soon) and a yummy-licious pic of Kanda <3~
Whee he's alive! I know that from the manga but still .. Kanda to Lavi: "Baka-usagi!" is teh lols
Just yesterday, we had another HR outing! Who went: Jaslin, Clement, Erik, Qing Wei (Vongola), Joseph (uthinkleh), Shaun (Onggy), Spinelli, Jerry, Stephanie (Arielite), Francis (cyctoo) together with some Legends members, whose names I forgot already. Anyway, the plan was to have dinner first then watch The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor at Marina Square. But it was a Saturday, plus NDP preview was going on, so it took a while before we found seats for 18 at The Cafe Cartel. (I think the Legends people had some private agreement to wear black .. all or-lulu at their table ROFL)
I shared St. Louis Pork Ribs with Jaslin (very big portion, very value-for-money and yummy!), and the boys had some Crispy Platter or something. We wanted a waffle ice cream for dessert but were too full to eat anything more. After that, the movie .. I won't give spoilers away for those who haven't watched, but it's decent even with a tad too much CGI effects, still worth watching. But the O'Connells' speaking Chinese cannot make it and the yetis .. twas a bad idea to put it in the movie, methinks. Maybe I shall catch My Sassy Girlfriend (the U.S remake of the Korean original) and Space Chimps next, if time and my wallet permits.
And then today, cycled with my parents to Marsiling, where I had ba chor mee for breakfast before heading to the hair saloon. 5 hours later, I emerged from the saloon with a 'soft' rebond done and my hair neater .. but I think the time was worth it, because Lily, the hairdresser who attended to me was very detailed and she really did a great job with my hair.
Phew, lengthy blog post. Off for a nap before dinner and CW at 8pm. Ciao~

What transpired on Thurs 10 July
5.30am. Woke, and then left the house at 6.40 with my parents. The hospital had called me the night before to remind me that I had to fast from 12pm onwards, so I couldn't have breakfast.
Upon reaching, we went to Gleneagles's Admission counter, whereupon the lady asked us to go to the counter @ 7th floor, where the day-wards were since we had already done pre-admission the week before. After going through the admin stuff, I was taken to Ward 208 to wait for my turn. Shortly after I'd settled down, a nurse came in and taped my wrist with a band, helped me into e dressing gown and I had a nap til about 10.50am, when they came for me in a stretcher to bring me down to the operating theatre.
My parents were stopped at the doors, they allowed only my mum to go in with me, because she was the one who had signed the consent form for my op (since I'm under 21) ; and with a pat on my hand she went out. I was made to wait in a little room just outside the OT, because Dr Chen wasn't finished with the earlier patient yet. 11am stretched to 11.30am, and while I was waiting in darkness the nurse chatted with me briefly, then the Anesthesia Master injected me with a medicine that supposedly "helps to calm your nerves" o_0 according to him.
But calm my nerves it certainly did not. I was getting fidgety under the blankets, if a tad nervous about the decision I made to go through with it. Around 11.35am, they wheeled the previous patient out, and me in. While the nurse hooked me up to various contraptions, the AM injected a whole syringe of thick, milky liquid into the tube on my left hand. Immediately, a growing numbness and pain overwhelmed me and I went KO.
When next I woke, it was 1.05pm, and I had been in the recovery ward for an hour after the operation. The pain didn't register at first; I was preoccupied with calling my mum to let her know it was over. Once they wheeled me all the way back to the ward, I started feeling nauseous and dizzy. For the rest of the day, til 8pm when I was discharged from my ward, I was reduced to lying in bed, taking painkillers and napping through the haze that accompanied the nausea. The one bread that I ate in the evening (since the entire day) made me vomit whatever I had consumed.
At about 10.15pm, we were finally able to see Mr Chen at his clinic after waiting for 2 hours. The rest of the day through Sunday was spent resting, spacing out all my med, taking my meals etc .. in short nothing interesting. 3 days hospitalisation leave .. I'll be back to work on Thursday and hopefully better after everything. To those who asked after me, thanks a lot, and thanks Jaslin for visiting me while I was hospitalised (though I wasn't in any fit state to talk much).

Just 2 poems
Dialogue of a kiss
Him: Time stopped for
that moment
I damned reason
and kissed
you.
Her: Heart pounding
I threw away
my pride
just to answer
your kiss
The Op.
Laid out, strapped
cold table
with sharp steel
on naked flesh
Will it hurt
I wonder
if I will
scream when
I wake up.
Just 2 poems I composed lately. The first, don't ask me where I got my inspiration from, the sencond is rather obvious. And til now I'm still not that scared as I'll undoubtedly be on that day.
My poor Dan's been swamped by paper work by his cousin. I swear that one's a slave driver. But at least I know he still cares about me. Having a whole ton of problems getting GE to install properly on my laptop .. GG.

kilos .. eek!
Last Sat, my older cousin's wedding reception at the Fishing Village at Khatib, where we had a 10 course dinner.
Then on Sun, buffet at Yaki and Yuki @ Marina Square - for our HR outing. Because I'm lazy, I won't post pics. Instead, here's a video by our silent (and deadly) cameraman, Luthirien. Michelle and Jerry weren't captured because they had to go off early. We had several rounds of eating throughout 1-5pm.
Piling on the kilos .. uggh. And my op has been shifted to 10th July.

Due for an op.
Been having a slew of health related problems lately. First, the nose bleed which gave me a shock at work, had to take a day's MC.
But before I get to the main issue .. had lunch with Jaslin yesterday at the Korean stall at Chevron House. Then on my way home after work, met up (very impromptu) with Jerry, Adrian and his siter Fiona, Tim, Jaslin and ah ma for dinner. Initial plan was to go to TCC @ Orchard, ended up at Moku Moku, a Japanese style eatery at Far East Plaza. Will post the pics when I get them.
Today afternoon 1.30pm, went to Gleneagles Hospital with my mum to see Dr Christopher Chen for an appointment. After the nurse asked me a few qns about my medical history, we waited for a few mins before being admitted in. To cut things short .. after the scan (which hurt) he told me that I had slight thickening of my uterus, I had blood clots in my womb (which was just like what Ying Chuan told me) and my left ovary was in an "abnormal position". The medical term for my condition is called Endometrosis (for more info click here). The symptoms are much like what my mum had, except her was more serious so her womb had to be removed. But, Dr Chen says this kind of condition is not hereditary, which is a small consolation.
So basically, to "clean up" these clots, I would have to go for day surgery, where 2 keyholes would be made. The cost is like .. including the doctor and hospital side, about 10k plus o_0 Booked a half day ward for 3rd July, so I have the rest of the weekend to rest. I'm SO not anticipating myself being on the operating table .. but what can I do? Better to get this resolved faster than wait, delay .. and lead to more complications.
So peeps, not just ladies, do take care of your health ya?

First off, pics.
Mine and Dino's dessert, ice cream topped with various stuff (me) ice kachang with stuff below (hers) at Seoul Garden the week before. She loved her yam, I loved my choc chip ice cream with mint .. ain't had it for years.
2pcs Crispy chicken set at Changi Airport's Terminal 3's Popeyes last Saturday when my mum, brother and I sent my old maid off home. I liked the chicken, but found it a bit too oily .. and the bread .. a wee bit on the salty side, tho my mum said the butter made it taste good. Ps: Things are expensive there .. 6+ to 7+ per set .. not counting the side (biscuits)
I know I've been lazy. Yeah, last update was on 3rd June -_- But I've still been busy. Work is good, well I still make small mistakes here and there but I'm getting better. Then just yesterday I started on a different job .. checking files. Ayup, which means I have my own cubicle for now .. til they decide to change my job scope again. So now I only do counter work when I'm covering for my colleagues during lunch time.
Bought 2 muffins today, from Raffles Xchange. They're nice, airy affairs, the banana almond was good but the double chocolate chip really sucked. Come Friday, HR's gonna have a fac outing again .. and I'm looking forward to it. I think I really need a break.
And I would rant about the new maid .. cept some have already heard my woes. Oh well lols.

Day #1 at OCBC
Uggh.
My first, and final word on the first day. After waiting for the guys to arrive, we reached there promptly and went up to the HR Division on the 40th floor after exchanging our ICs for temp passes. Me, Faizah, Dao Li and Liang An were posted to CSC on the 12th floor. Shu Min and Saihah went over to the East Block while Huiqi went to the 13th floor on her own; Si Hui went to 7th floor.
My department is .. mostly female, with about 3/4 guys around. After being shown a cubicle for us to stew in, so to speak, I waited for a bit before Chao Yoon, my Team Manager for the Admin Team showed me around the office; introducing me to some of the staff, showing me where the pantry and ladies was.
After that, I was promptly "dumped" at the counter to assist the 2 staff there, Phoebe and Edweena with their work. Basically I'll be stuck doing sai kang but its better than nothing. For the rest of the afternoon, I was taught the basic day-to-day operations of CSC. Had to learn what turnover time was .. was reminded to have completeness (follow-thru), punctuality, blah blah. Also made friends with the people who delivered letters and packages to us .. one thing I haven't got the hang of is knowing who sits where. Its not so much a problem about identity since the staff have name tags at their cubicle but .. it is a bit hard to remember the seating arrangement on the first day.
Kena arrow by one of them when I couldn't remember my 3rd person to bring a file to sat. The word "corporate" itself stresses me, uggh. Went for lunch at BK today, have made up my mind to go and explore more places for lunch .. BK's prices is daylight robbery.
Tired, but at least I know I have something to do everyday. 3 months .. I wonder how long I can take it. Oh, and I have NO internet access AT ALL. The intranet is only available after I sign forms requesting for access. Pfft. OMG no laptop .. I'm dying, I tell ya.

I'm tired! Even if I DO get some hours of sleep . . argh .. I'm turning into a zombie or something that needs A LOT of sleep.
Anyway, updates lets see .. ok I'm posted to OCBC's Commercial Services Centre at Raffles for my IPP lasting 3 months, and I'm to report there on Monday 8.45pm .. Goin down on Saturday to get my bearings so I won't be late or anything on Monday.
And nothing much, except I've this song for repeat for a day now, don't ask me why I like it
Pain - Jimmy Eat World
I don't feel the way I've ever felt.
I know.
Gonna smile and not get worried.
I try but it shows.
Anyone can make what I have built.
And better now
Anyone can find the same white pills.
It takes my pain away.
It's a lie. A kiss with opened eyes.
And she's not breathing back.
Anything but bother me.
(It takes my pain away)
Never mind these are hurried times.
Oh oh oh
I can't let it bother me.
I never thought I'd walk away from you.
I did.
But it's a false sense of accomplishment.
Every time I quit
Anyone can see my every flaw.
It isn't hard.
Anyone can say they're above this all.
It takes my pain away.
It's a lie. A kiss with opened eyes.
And she's not breathing back.
Anything but bother me.
(It takes my pain away)
Never mind these are hurried times.
Oh oh oh
I can't let it bother me.
I can't let it bother me.
It takes my pain away.
It's a lie. A kiss with opened eyes.
And she's not breathing back.
Anything but bother me.
(It takes my pain away)
Never mind these are hurried times.
Oh oh oh
I can't let it bother me
Takes my pain,
takes my pain,
takes my pain away!

HK Cafe PART 2
Tons of food, so I wanted to put em seperately. Ok, to start off, this is what we ordered while waiting for Gerald and Jaslin to arrive, Har Gao (shrimp dumpling) and Siew Mai
My milo dinosaur (whee at last I got to try it, and the cup is so cute)
Then I ordered a main dish, because if you only order dim sum you'll get hungry real quick. I decided to get their HK Wanton Mee (dry) that Clement recommended, while Spin got the soup version. I really really love the fried wanton, its crispy and manages not to leave a cloying aftertaste in the mouth, and not too oily as well.
Clement (madjerk) got French Toast (the size is like, whoa)
Gerald got pork chop spaghetti (to me its so-so, I could have this at home)
On my second round, I got shrimp wrapped in beancurd skin. This wasn't really nice, it was much too oily and the skin was rather hard to chew through
Jaslin and me shared Japanese rice mochi with red bean paste and vanilla ice cream for dessert. I LOVE the mochi to bits, its OISHI!! And it looks too cute to be eaten lols
But the real highlight of the meal was the Mango Snow that we ordered. I don't have the pic but its colossal, and we couldn't finish it =x On the way home I got this from Jaslin (its supposed to be a Thai snack and I don't know the name either, at first I thought it was some delicate toy because it looked so real! Then Jas said it could be eaten) Cute isn't it?
Spent about $15 plus total on the food .. went home feeling bloated but otherwise happy
That's about it as far as posts go, probably won't update again soon.

Birthday Updates .. and HK Cafe PART 1
My chocolate sponge birthday cake from Polar - before
And after. I commented that it was like weps that were +10 and my sis agreed lol. Geez, finding parellels among GE and real life @@
And then, there was an impromptu arrangement to go out to HK Cafe @ Kovan on Sunday 1pm for a belated bday celebration. Jas, Spin, Gerald and Clement turned up, which was quite ok. From the outside:
The inside view. Its cozy! I love the setting <3
And after we were done with our meal I opened my prezzie that Jaslin passed to me, a cute little voodoo doll keychain and a handy fan:
Thanks jie, I love it ^^
Gonna put all the food we had in PART 2

This bugger spoiled my mood
I'd been having the IOF bug for days, where I don't get the loading screen when I run to it, my chars get stuck, then when I dc from it it takes like 10 mins before I can login again. Being sick of Skull, I decided to go and try IOF today, to see if I still had the bug.
This faggot called Deepsie who was w/o a faction was killing my sqd mates. When I went to ress them, he/she targeted me, and me only. Repeatedly killed me even when I ran, used soul crystal to ress myself, then this biatch would be back again to kill me.
Because of him/her my mood is spoiled. He/she has earned my eternal hate

Then I went to chip my own rapier
So happy ^^ As for my prezzies .. on GE, Spin got me 70k g pts =0 THANKS SPIN!! Jas is mailing me my prezzie, Jerry gave me pure otite lols, SQ gave me a +5 Silver Cont ATK (the one that I chipped), Blue gave me Edward's White Grim Reaper Summon Ring, Tunes is gonna pass me my ERM which he said he would chip to DR3 FOC, Rildiz gave me a Desert Storm and the rest wished me happy bday~
As for real life .. my mum went to Polar Cakes when she went for her follow-up checkup on Thurs and bought a cake .. damn tempted to see what the cake looks like, ahh! But usually I will ask them not to buy a cake .. its only symbolic so we usually get those teensy cakes and order Pizza Hut or eat out. But this year .. both my sis n brother are coughing so we'll be staying home. But, she IS treating us to Mac Breakfast hehe .. and I'm supposed to be sleeping so I can wake at 8am .. or rather later but I'm still awake.

TWILIGHT
Forgive my fan gushing but its really .. awesome.
Kristen, Stephanie (the author) and Rob on the set of Twilight. It's already to die for, ahhh the hawtness .. but there's more
Ok, the official teaser trailer for Twilight is out here:
http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=33429669
And the first teaser poster is out too:
http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2008/05/06/twilight-poster-designer-ready-to-tackle-sequels/
Kristen and Rob really, and I mean REALLY ooze chemistry! God, this is like any fangirl's dream come true - the director is staying true to the novel and the actors are staying true to their characters .. OMG its awesome. I can't even count the number of times my heart stopped watching the trailer (my nth time already) or looking at the poster .. and this is just the teaser! Everything's so intense, you can really SEE Bella and Edward in your head.
More links, which are really cool too:

Intro to NYP's Food
This post is mostly for Spin's benefit.
Showcasing:
Brownie covered in hot fudge with chocolate ice cream, $2.50. Milo freeze - $2, both from Splash and Decker. I used to order this frequently but now my cravings have changed. I still like it that it looks deceptively small - the taste is to die for. Choc ftw.
Then we have soup and bread rolls from The Grinning Gecko, $1.80. Some of you would have seen my pics of Surf and Turf already (and yes I had it for lunch today cos I missed it, and also the soup). Lovely, thick creamy home cooked broth. They use fresh ingredients, like fresh mushrooms or tender chunks of chicken, no Campbell Soup for them. And the bread is actually chewy~ toasted not fried.
Next, Laksa from South Canteen, $2. I don't really like the soup because its too thick for me, but portion wise its served in a nice, chummy bowl. The ingredients are ample enough for cheap fare.
And last but not least, Tempura Udon from the Japanese stall in Koufu, $3.50. The udon is a thick, chewy affair.
Will showcase more when I get the chance. Going down on Friday with my sis to visit my mum, so I'll pop over to Takashimaya on the way to satisfy my craving for pretzels woot~
